The APS12170 is a low noise 2-wire voltage-controlled interface that brings industry-leading ESD protection to a very robust Hall latch.  Designed to operate from 3.8 to 16V with ultra-fast turn-on times allowing for power cycling at the system level to reduce battery drain when in standby.  The APS12170 utilizes a continuous-time Hall biasing architecture to allow for ultra-low noise and extremely fast turn-on times.  

Designed for automotive applications, the APS12170 exceeds AEC-Q100 requirements and withstands high operating temperatures  - with maximum junction temperatures of 175C. This IC is ideal for motor applications included seat motors, window motors, wiper motors, and other automotive motor applications.  

The APS12170 is offered in SOT-23W (LH-3) surface mount package and a 3-pin ultra-mini SIP package (UA) for through-hole mounting, enabling  the next generation of small footprint motors using Allegro’s market-leading solutions.
