The AMT49100 and AMT49101 are N-channel power MOSFET drivers capable of controlling MOSFETs connected in a 3-phase bridge arrangement and are specifically designed for 48V automotive power applications with high-power inductive loads, such Electronic Power Steering, Braking, and specific powertrain application, such as Belt Starter Generators.

The AMT49101 provides a low voltage regulated output suitable for controller or sensor circuits power supply. This device was architected specifically for systems requiring a local microprocessor and to optimize PCB footprint by offering a small 48L 7x7 QFP package.

The AMT49100 and AMT49101 can be programmed to operate with the fixed-frequency buck regulator producing the main regulated voltage, VREG, or with an externally generated regulated supply driving the VREG terminal. Integrated diagnostics provide indication of multiple internal faults, system faults, and power bridge faults, and can be configured to protect the power MOSFETs under most short circuit conditions. For safety critical systems the integrated diagnostic operation can be verified under control of the serial interface.

These devices are supplied in a 48 lead QFP package with exposed thermal pad. This package is lead (Pb) free with 100% matte-tin lead frame plating.
